What did you learn?

What did you learn in our class? I know I learned that I should have crawled out from the stone age long before now. I have learned so many new things about blogging, journaling, moderating and even rss. I had a blast making a website!! I would have liked to have added sound to it but I did not know how. I have been having a lot of fun adding to my blog each week. I have learned how to add pictures here on my blog site. I really like the vin deisel site by one of our classmates and hope someday I can create a site that is as lively as that one. So, what have you learned to do that is and will be memorable?

The Life of a GOLDFISH

Have you ever just sat down and watched Goldfish? Well I have some and they are pretty remarkable. They actually talk to one another and this can be witnessed by watching how many times their mouths open and shut in a brief period of time. I have one fish that I call the "Momma" fish. When the food is dropped into the tank, she makes sure she eats first. I honestly think she cussed out the smaller fish because they now know not to eat until she has her fill. You ought to try it some time, its a good way to pass the time, when you just want to meditate.

From blogging to rss to our future of becoming robotic

I think society is on the upward climb toward becoming more and more robotic each and every day. What happened to being personal with friends like sending birthday cards, get well cards and cards or letters of interest? All that seems to be replaced by who says what on which blog. Loving comments are also being replaced by email--I miss the days when a letter would come in the mail. I miss sitting down with a cup of tea and reading about what is occurring on the other side of the mountain. Granted I understand blogs are a means in which to reach out to friends and foe but are they also not a means in which we become distant from those who once gave us such delight and interest? I feel as though we are becoming more and more like machines, unfeeling, uncaring, cold and distant. Just my thoughts, if you'd like to share yours, please do so.

Media Hype and Myths

Have you ever noticed how the media gets such delight out of ruining the lives of people. I am not just talking about celebrities, but commoners as well. In Edmond there is a social host law--where the parents get in trouble more so than the youth that are involved. Ok, so, if the parents can get in trouble for catering a party for their kids and the kids of other parents, why don't the bars pay a stiff fine for individuals who get picked up on a DUI? Anyway, back to my initial thoughts: Have you ever paid attention to how extravagant the media can get when a myth is involved. Think of some myths that have brought media attention and list them. I think it would be interesting to see how many of us truly believe in the myths created by the media. I also think it would be interesting to find out how much of what we have believed from the media are actually myths. What do you think?

Can you believe I.....

Can you believe I posted my last thoughts in Hindu? Neither can I but then that is what happens when I get to snooping around with all of the buttons. I apparently pushed the wrong one--imagine that! Possibly I need to take a course on the different buttons that can be found when writing a blog, or any paper for that matter. It just blows my mind that I did that--WOW! OK, so the original post commented about the upcoming holiday of St. Patricks. Hope you wear your green--well that is part of it. I also found the rainbow that shells out chunks of gold and I was going to paste it in my blog but for some reason it did not come out or up, however you want to look at it. Instead, I got the Hindu alphabet and typed my blog with it. Strange huh. Hope your week is going better than mine!

Blogs can be so interesting!

Wow, I have read several blogs lately here at ambiguity and I must say, I am very impressed with the content of most of them. Everyone seems to be able to rattle on and on about things that are important, as well as silly. Many bloggers much like myself are concerned with the presidential campaign but come on people, there is far more to life than seating someone in the White House! Although I have been very busy lately, I managed to stop and view nature for what it is. I am so grateful that I am able to breathe clean air and not New York or Los Angeles air. At night I can see the stars and God's thumbnail as my kids call the moon when it is waning or is that waxing--geez, I do not know--science and the universe was not my cup of tea. I've started a gratitude list and each day it grows. What are you grateful for--what might your gratitude list consist of? See if you can name at least ten things and then tell me about them. Have a good one and write, write, write!

Almost a month into....

Almost a month into school...can ya believe it? And only how many months left LOL. I am so glad I took this class. I am learning so much about blogs and blogging, things I did not even realize had existed. I'm not as much on shaky ground as I was in the beginning and I want to thank all of you who have helped me along the way. I hope everyone is having a restful afternoon, in order to get ready for the week ahead! Talk to me later!!

Chillin' with my daughter!

I am so thankful I have a good relationship with my youngest daughter. We enjoy watching television shows together, hang out at the library and I home school her as well. I do worry, at times though, if my daughter will ever want to become a social butterfly. She stays at home a lot and does not converse with many people her own age. I now wonder if I have jeopardized her in anyway whatsoever by home schooling her. Anyone else ever home schooled a child? Anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how to get her to socialize more and if so, where should she go?

Spring is in the air......

Doesn't feel as though the groundhog saw his shadow on the 2nd day of February. It is just beautiful outside. I feel like a bear coming out of hibernation. There is just so much to do today, while the sun is out. Got to wash the car, run errands, and I think I'll read out on my patio. As you might have realized, winter and I are not a duable companion. What are your thoughts on the weather today?

Who Let the Dog Out?

Who let the dog out and let the bitter cold weather in? I'm quite sure the skiiers in Colorado are having entirely too much fun with all of the snow. In my opinion they can keep it! Actually, I do not mind the snow its the ice that we get here in the OKC metro that needs to stay in Alaska and other places that enjoy outdoor skating and frolicking. I would imagine Father nature is tucked in a nice warm place, while Mother nature is causing havoc because she's the one that has to go look for the dog. A woman's work is never done!

OMG This is rough!

This blogging experience is about to drive me critically insane!! It took me what seems to be a lifetime to get back to this page, so I could enter my thoughts for today. Well, I'm finally here and my thoughts are so scrambled, I am just very thankful week 1 is done and over with. Here is praying week 2 and each week after that will be so much easier. Have a good one everyone!

Today!

I am still having great difficulty trying to figure out exactly what I am doing in my blog class. I post here, I post there, is there any place I do not post? I sure could use some feedback from cyberspace--any ideas, any one! Maybe the rest of the day will go much more smoothly. I pray my guardian angel will step in and guide me through and show me what needs to be done.

My first blog...

This is my first time blogging, so please bare with me. This class sounded easy but it is actually hard to comprehend, however Im sure I will conquer it. Just a little bit about myself. I am a graduate student majoring in family and child studies. My goal is to one day work with families and children in need of guidance. I like to read fiction and true crime stories. In my spare time I like to meditate and take long naps :) Right now I am learning the art of Yoga. I will post more later! Time for that nap!
